Tanya Huff was born in in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Raised in Kingston, Ontario, Tanya's first foray into the writing arena began at The Picton Gazette, when she was ten. Earning $10 for two of her poems as a result, Huff later on joined Canada's Naval Reserve as a Cook in TANYA HUFF. THE HEART OF VALOR. The Truth of Valor I have enjoyed the entire series and plan to continue reading all books by Tanya Huff. This particular story was hard to read because I was worried about the characters. The fact that I care about the characters tells you how well the book is written.
