Find The Emperor\\'s Tomb by Berry, Steve at Biblio. Uncommonly good collectible and rare books from uncommonly good booksellers. This novel is another page-turner by Steve Berry. It represents a fascinating look at the history and governance of China, from past to present; the dichotomy of ideological thought in China; the discovery of biotic fuel vs. abiotic fuel; and the creation of the terra-cotta warriors, life-size figures built to protect the tomb of the first emperor of China. Assuming they survive. I love Steve Berry, but, he can put out a clunker every now and then. "The Emperor's Tomb" is a clunker. Way too heavy on history lesson and too little Malone and Vitt doing their thing. A bit of editing the history lesson would have helped this book avoid the bloat pages, down to would have been great.
Synopsis. The tomb of China’s First Emperor, guarded by an underground army of terra cotta warriors, has remained sealed for years. Though it’s regarded as one of the greatest archeological sites in the world, the Chinese government won’t allow anyone to open it. Why not?. Book Review: “The Emperor’s Tomb” by Steve Berry. A towel wrapped the face, but it was clear the bound form was a woman. “Mr. Malone.”.
