Gary McMahon has a way with his words that propels you forward effortlessly. This story was very different than the last I had read from him, NIGHTSIDERS, but no less compelling. THE BONES OF YOU is the perfect Halloween tale, full of a dreadful, menacing atmosphere that never dissipates throughout the story. The chilling Nightsiders certainly put Gary McMahon on my radar and Reaping the Dark, while not quite making the same impression was certainly an intriguing read. Initially touching on the Occult and the supernatural, we then shift over to a robbery gone wrong and Clarke, the getaway driver who suddenly finds himself left with a whole lot of money. Runner up: Nightsiders by Gary McMahon. I clearly remember pulling my truck over into the ditch just outside Shallowater, Texas so I could start writing this story.
