Berkley, $, ISBN Fantasy, (Reissue) Despite the prominence of the woman’s chest on the cover and the synopsis on the back cover that is ten times more lascivious than anything in the story, Mina is not an erotic vampire romp like the packaging would like you to believe. Marie Kiraly is the pseudonym for horror and fantasy author Elaine. · Kiraly notes in her forward that while Dracula had an epistolary format, featuring firsthand accounts by different characters, including Mina Harker, who is out to avenge the death of her best friend, save her fiancée and herself, but whose account is abandoned by Stoker after her “ravishment.”. Mina by Marie Kiraly (Elaine Bergstrom) is of the style very much as Bram Stoker wrote Dracula. It was though Ms Kiraly/Bergstrom was there by his side picking up the thread that Stoker left behind. Any true fan of the Dracula story will find this an exceptional addition /5(10).
